Original and contemporary compositions and some hard swinging standards led by Mike Galisatus, free-lance trumpeter in the SF Bay Area and Director of Bands at the College of San Mateo. Band member credits include Count Basie, Huey Lewis, Pete Escovedo, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joe Louis Walker, Jr, and many more. Native San Franciscan, Duane Lawrence’s rich baritone voice croons a smooth ballad, swings with the best, and belts out R&B tunes too as heard in his group Lawrence Expressway Band. For over 13 years, he was one of the featured vocalists with the 16 piece Contemporary Jazz Orchestra at Jazz at Pearl’s and a featured vocalist with the fabulous Full Spectrum Jazz Big Band. He also credits over 500 performances with the Starlight Orchestra at the historic Starlight Room.
