Serving Up the Summer Sizzle: Brentwood Art, Wine & Jazz Festival
August 25 and 26, 2012
As summer winds down, the Brentwood Art Society is turning up the heat by hosting the 11th Annual Brentwood Art, Wine and Jazz Festival at The Streets of Brentwood. This family-friendly event brings together local vintners, local artists from multiple disciplines and some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians for a weekend that is sure to delight all of your senses.
Filled with activities that are sure to please all ages, this year’s event features an Artist Garden that displays original pieces by over 40 local artists across various media, Wine at the Fountain where wineries will tantalize your taste buds with award-winning wines produced right in our own community, the popular Children’s Area where children can engage with art in a truly “hands-on” way, and Jazz on the Stage where you can relish the outstanding musical styles of acclaimed performers.
Open free of charge, the Brentwood Art, Wine & Jazz Festival is the largest fundraiser of the Brentwood Art Society, whose mission is to encourage, support and develop art and cultural programs to benefit the community within the City of Brentwood and surrounding areas in East Contra Costa County. Proceeds fund many continuing art programs and events—including scholarships for graduating High School seniors, the Art Docent program at all schools of the Brentwood Union School District, the annual Artists Open Studio Tour, and “Broadway Under the Stars” theater performances—that help to enrich and sustain our vibrant local communities.
