My journey in music began in New York where I was born. I attended Manhattan School of Music. I left New York and moved to Southern California at first where I was performing Top 40, R&B and some jazz. I fell in love with Jazz at an early age and knew that was my destiny and desire in my music endeavors. When I came to the Bay Area in 1980, clubs such as Rolands, Pearls, Pasands, Capurros, Pier 47, Bajones, Caspian, Reginaís, Rasellaís and Seven Hills were all home to me. My experience in music encompasses all areas of Jazz Standards, Ballads, Bossa Samba, Cha Cha, Blues and some Latin Jazz. I have performed in San Francisco; Oakland, Newport Beach; Catalina Island, Acapulco, Hawaii; New York, Hilton and Holiday Inn chains in Southern California, Las Vegas, Tahoe, Nagoya and Osaka Japan. I recently was performing at Vaso Azurro in Mountain View, CA, The Oak City Bar and Grill in Menlo Park and DíVine Jazz and Wine in Morgan Hill.
Some of my performance associates were John Handy, Sy Perkoff, Al Zulaica, Manny Duran, John Ray, Babatunde, Vince Lateano, Pete Escovedo, Ted Connell, Chris Amburger, Frank Tusa, Eddie Henderson, Jon Davis, Andrea Haverback, Denny Berthiaume, and many more.

DENNY BERTHIAUME,
piano, grew up outside Washington D.C. and Chicago. He is the only non-California native in the group although San Francisco is his home. He has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Diane Schuur, Joe Williams, Ed Thigpen, Stan Getz, k.d.lang, and Joan Rivers. He recorded 4 albums as co-leader of the successful fusion group Solar Plexus. He has appeared at jazz festivals in Monterey, the Russian River, San Jose, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. He was professor in literature and music at Foothill College in Los Altos, California (1970-2004) and a published playwright.
