Guitarists Samson and Amati Schmitt are keeping the flame of gypsy jazz burning strong, which should come as no surprise, given they are the son’s of revered guitarist Dorado Schmitt. Samson began performing with his father at twelve, while Amati was only nine years old. Both brothers grew up playing with and being influenced by their father and the gypsy jazz greats, but also took cues from contemporary jazz guitarists such as George Benson.
