About

Award-winning jazz saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist Paul VornHagen returns to the Bay Area to perform the authentic rhythms of Cuba in rich harmonic compositions with Bay-Area based jazz trio Charged Particles. Michigan resident VornHagen has won Detroit Music Awards in five categories: Jazz Reeds, Instrumentalist, Jazz Recording, World Music Recording, and Talent Deserving Wider Recognition. Paul studied at City College Of San Francisco before moving to Michigan. Jazz Times magazine said of Paul’s music, “Gutsy sax, sensuous flute, and vocals, smooth as silk”. Detroit Jazz said, “his tenor sax is robust, yet warm with the heart of a romantic.” http://paulvornhagenjazz.com/...
